Furniture Polish Recipe
1 cup olive oil and 1/2 cup lemon juice. Shake well and apply a small amount to a flannel cleaning rag or cleaning cloth. Spread evenly over furniture surface. Turn cloth to a dry side and polish dry.
Lemon juice dissolves dirt and smudges, while olive oil shines and protects the wood.
Disinfectant Spray
Add 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil and 10 drops of lemon essential oil to a pint of water in a spray bottle.
Glass Cleaner
Mix 10 drops of lemon, lavender, or rosemary essential oil with one cup of white vinegar and mix with a small amount of water.
All-Purpose Cleaning Spray
Mix in a sprayer bottle: 1 cup white vinegar, six drops of lemon essential oil and 1 cup water. In the kitchen, use to clean countertops, lightly soiled range surfaces and back splash areas. In the bathroom, use to clean countertops, floors, and exterior surfaces of the toilet.
For really tough bathroom surfaces such as shower walls heat solution and allow to stand for 10 to 15 minutes.
Clean a microwave oven
Add four tablespoons Lemon Juice to one-cup water in a microwave-safe, four-cup bowl. Boil for five minutes in the microwave, allowing the steam to condense on the inside walls of the oven. Then wipe clean.
Tile Cleaner
Scrub away mildew and mold from tile and other surfaces using a paste made from equal parts lemon juice and salt.
